Muelas del juicio
Las terceras molares (muelas del juicio) son las ultimas molares en aparecer en boca, por lo tanto es muy comun que no tengan espacio para erupcionar (salir), asi que un porcentaje muy alto de pacientes necesitas extraer dichas molares.Hay otras razones de consideracion del porque se necesitan extraerlas, son focos infecciosos y pueden provocar infecciones generalizadas graves ,por lo general viene en mala posicion,producen dolor, pueden presionar a las molares adyasentes hasta que se puede perder la raiz de una molar sana. Pero la indicacion mas importante del porque se tiene que retirar, es que las terceras molares pueden producir quistes o tumores en los maxilares (huesos que sostienen a los dientes), lo cual es muy serio porque ese tipo de patologia necesita de intervencion de cirugia maxilofacial para remover la lesion
